Viair’s medium duty on board air system is a complete package designed to work with your vehicle.It allows you to not only inflate your tires but also you can actually use medium duty air tools. That is something that can’t be done with lighter duty models.

At the heart of this system is the Viair 325C compressor which has a 33% duty cycle. With a 33% duty cycle the compressor can run longer before it needs to cool down. That can be a big help when filling up 33 inch tires.

Also included is a 2.5 gallon air tank that the 325C fills. The 2.5 gallon tank will allow you extended operating time before the compressor needs to turn again, which of course is going to extend the life of the compressor.

Viair’s medium duty on board air compressor system comes packed with a host of other features such as a pressure switch with relay to prevent overfilling the tank and possibly causing to rupture unexpectedly. The relay turns on when pressure drops below a threshold of 110 PSI and shuts off at an upper threshold of 150PSI.

It also has a dash panel gauge with an on/off switch built in so that you can keep an eye on the pressure readings and be able to turn the unit on and off from inside the cab.

Viair Constant Duty On Board Air Compressor System

As the name implies, this model is designed to be run uninterrupted. It is heavy duty enough that you shouldn’t have worries about over heating. That can be a blessing if you are airing up 37″ tires or using pneumatic tools to make repairs on something.

Unlike the Medium Duty model above, this one is rated for a 100% duty cycle at 100PSI. It does has the capability to run at 150PSI which makes it closer to what you may find in a workshop or garage.

The Viair 450C compressor is tasked with the job of keeping the 2.5 gallon air tank full. Being constant duty combined with that 2.5 gallon tank, having enough air shouldn’t be a problem.

Just like the Medium Duty model, this on board air compressor comes with the necessary connectors, pressure switch, wiring, dash gauge and connectors needed. It even comes with an air hose and tire chuck.

Viair Ultra Duty On Board Air Compressor

Viair’s Ultra Duty air system starts where the Constant Duty leaves off. The heart of the system is Viair’s 480C compressor which, like the Constant Duty, is rated for 100% duty cycle at 100 PSI.

However, unlike the Constant Duty, the Ultra Duty has a working pressure range of 165PSI and a maximum of 200PSI. More pressure allows for a wider array of possible uses and variety of air tools to make your life easier.

The higher pressure combined with Viair’s 2.5 gallon air tank will give you the capability to not only inflate tires larger than 37″, but also turn your truck into a rolling repair shop with enough pneumatic tools to complete any job.
